vbseo is an Add-on FOR vbulletin. vbseo installs ONTO vbulletin. It will not run by itself. You will at LEAST need vbuleetin. vbseo is an SEO add on for vbulletin.

yes got that but out of the two what is the best to use with vbseo

Is theres no point paying $90 more for the extra softwear you get with vbullentin 4.0 publishing suite if i get vbseo?
or is it better to use.

If you want to get the suite, than you should get it. If you have use for the CMS and/or blog, you should get the suite. If you only want the forum, you can get the cheaper one.

the CMS and blogs that are part of the suite are just that, Content Management and Blog areas. VBSEO can optimize those as well, but again, vbseo requires vb.

In my honest opinion, I would suggest doing a ton more research on the subject of running forums before you spend money. It might even be best for you to use a free software, like phpbb or SMF to start with.

you're once again confusing subjects. Ads have nothing to do with phpbb, vbulletin, or vbseo.

a forum is a piece of software.
you can buy pro or use open source free ones.

    it installs onto a server.
you can pay for a serer, or you can find a few ad-support servers

    you need a domain name
these must be purchased, unless you're using a free-services' subdomain, such as mysite.freeserver.com

Get on google or wikipedia and start researching. As it sits, whatever you spend will likely be a waste of money because you have no idea what you are doing and if you do get a forum up and running, it will likely be a complete failure. I say this as your friend, not to belittle you. Running a successful forum doesn't just happen--- it requires someone behind the scenes who knows what they are doing, or a big budget to pay someone who does.

A forum is a place to speak to other people doing the same thing as me or people that want to.
somewhere they can ask someone something i cant do this on my website so that is why i need a forum so i don't have to rewrite the same emails every other week because i dont have time with my busy website.

I think your a bit confused with what i meant what i was saying .I want a forum with no pop ups & where i can control the google adds as some don't comply with what i do.
I built my web site & the last forum so im ok doing that & im not needing a forum to make money just somewhere i can give info to zoos, university's & college's as well as many others.

But i can understand most people use them to make a living.
I don't mind spending £300-£400 a year if it makes my life easier

Personally I would suggest use vBulletin if you want the powerful and the easiest forum software then you should go to vBulletin, But if you want free software and then convert to vBulletin "That's possible to use any free forum software like phpbb.....etc then after 5 or 9 months convert your forum to vBulletin"
All of these forum software will give you the full control to your forum but the easiest and the powerful is vBulletin.
