    Server load?

I was wondering what kind of strain this would put on my server. This is my websites stats as of today:

I have a lot of guests coming to my site...basically a lot of lurkers. With that many threads and members and using a mod_rewrite, how would that effect the server and the server load. I'm on a dedicated server also, and its running P4 3.6 ghz with 1 gb ram.

I thought I read somewhere about vbSEO makes the CPU load pretty high but I just wanted to hear it from the people who made it whether or not that would be a big factor or not.

    Thanks

How is your current server load? vBSEO impact to performance is most noticeable only when a server is already near its maximum capacity.

No, my server load is doing quite well. So I should be fine if I'm around 0.xx-1.xx at server load atm?

Also, I'm sorry for asking this...but I tried looking around. When I purchase vbSEO, am I entitled to download newer versions as they come out? And I noticed that you are advertising to buy 2.4.0 and then I saw 3.0.0 rc3...I was wondering why advertise 2.4.0 when 3.0.0 is out?

Sorry for some questions that I could prolly find elsewhere.

v3.0.0 isn't final yet (hence the RC3, Release Candidate 3). The order page/header will be updated once 3.0.0 is finalized.

But, you will have access to download any/all versions, including 3.0.0 RC3 .

    it's neglicable at best.

i have a pretty big board- 700k posts, 20k members.

    current:
    Server Load Averages 0.63 0.39 0.37 | 60 Users Online (17 members and 43 guests)

2.4 dual xeon box, 2gb ram, 5 websites on it that get serious traffic.

Thanks, I'll probably purchase this within the next few days. And is this a yearly subscription?

    yes, and no.

it's a 1 time purchase, with free updates for a year.
after that year, you can either stay with the version you have, or pay a much smaller fee (i believe its $30, but don't quote me edit, $35) for another year of being a "customer" and having access to all the member-only support and updates.

You will only have load problems if your server has problems now. If you are below 1 or 2 most of the time now, than there should be no problem running vbseo.

Orders have to be processed manually. You should hear back from the sales team soon.

    Thanks!
