    Question relevant replacements for dummies?

I'm trying to understand more about "relevant replacements" so I can decide whether or not I want the vBSEO team to set them up during our installation. I can't view the threads that seem to explain this topic because I am not yet licensed.

can someone give me a "relevant replacements for dummies" overview? what they are, how to decide what to use......

    thank you!

    Hi Again Ron,

Sorry your still having problems finding a definitive answer to this question. I will try and answer it as much as I can but maybe someone else will come along and add additional details also.

Relevant replacements, is one of the key features of vBSEO. By adding a simple comment line in the form of say <!--VBSEO_RR_1--> to your templates you can add highly relevant text to your Showthread and forum Display pages.

This is where the name relevant replacement comes from, vBSEO programatically replaces the comment with the actual text, and the exact format of that text can be defined in the vbseocp.

As an example of what a RR (Relevant Replacement) would look like, look just above this thread, you will see

As you can see this is pulling the most important parts of the page/thread and placing them higher up in the code, increasing the relevance of the site. RR's can be placed anywhere in the style, just above the thread, in the header or basically where ever you believe it works with your theme/style.

As I mentioned the actual format of the RR's can be customized how you want in your vbseocp, but as standard our install guys will only set it to the format we use here at vBSEO.

The ultimate question as to if we should install it for you is.
    1. Are you happy having the default version, in the default place?
    2. Is there space in your template for this?

If the answer to both of the above is yes, then you are best to have us do it, the answer to either is no you would be better off doing it yourself. We can help but you would have more control that way.
