Question/observation regarding PR...

I have a question regarding google PageRank and how well it passes in VBulletin (with vBSEO). It seems that on most vBulletin forums 2 levels of PageRank is lost from the main index to the individual forum indexes.

As an example I could take http://www.dnforum.com (with vBSEO. Main index PR6, forums PR4) and http://forums.digitalpoint.com (no SEO) and http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/index.php (don't know about SEO). I also checked a smaller forum that I have just aquired (not the one I'm going to put vBSEO on first): http://www.talkclassical.com and it's the same thing.

However, on the old ubbthreads software (my old forum: http://www.magle.dk/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php) PR only drops one level between the main index (PR4) and the forums, thus all my forums have PR3 (some of them have PR4, but they are linked directly from the home page (PR5) as well).

This may be something very simple that I am overlooking, and possibly not a prolem at all, but I was just wondering how come it may be so.

That sounds good. I'm still curious about why some forums loses 2 PR from the main index to the individual forums, and other only drops 1? (though that's not a presale question per se )

(HEY, I didn't write "per search engine" - I wrote "per s e". weird...heh )

I think that vBE is as 'good', PR leakage-wise, solely due to vBSEO being there from Day One.

NZB has only had vBSEO for the past few months, 2 updates have passed since I installed it.. the main was PR4, forums PR3 before that update, so (at least those 2 pages on) NZB hasnt benefitted from the last upadte.
