If you don't allow guests to view your forum, then search engine spiders can't index your content, so there's really no need for vBSEO in your case.

vBSEO staff must be able to review you site content to confirm that it meets the EULA.

But, if you don't allow guests to view your site anyway, you have no need for vBSEO.

Thanks for the help pertaining to my question but the rest has nothing to do with it. That matter would be my business.

You could install it to use it purely for the sake of URL readability for your members.

vbseo can actually make your board more user friendly... but for seo it's pointless if crawlers can't get to the content.

That is true. Your users should appreciate the descriptive URLs.

In addition, if you ever decide to let search engines index your forums, all URLs will already be search engine ready.

If the price is not an issue, just go for it.

If someone uses "Guest first post only"?

You don't allow guest to view your content (except first post), but search engine spiders can index it. Is it still pointless to use VBSEO in this case?

If you are making at least some content available, vBSEO will provide advantages for you. So, yes, the guest first post only set-up is still compatible with vBSEO.
