In the process of deceiding which SEO to go for

I'm in the process of deceiding btw vBSEO and NuSEO. vBSEO clearly have the best SEO community with an active forum, which counts a lot. vBSEO also is a bigger company, which spells good for the stability. On the other hand, I use several add-on programs for vBulletin like VBA and NuSEO supports those in addition to the forum.

So... my questions are: Are there any plans to support any of the add-ons for vBulletin in the upcoming release?

Also I found this in one of the threads on NuSEO:
"One of the features we are considering for NuSEO.PHP involves restructuring the HTML source internally, so that site content (e.g. thread posts) gets moved to the top, just like in a Wikipedia page. But this is still work in progress..."
Is this something considered here at vBSEO too?

As a cautionary notice, be wary of applications that are automatically changing your HTML formatted templates (if that is what is being referred to). This is an intrusive approach and can be extremely problematic.

I MIGHT buy that statement if they are releasing a table-less layout to go along with it.
with tables, as vb is riddled with, what they are suggesting is nearly an impossible task, and everything will need to be pixel perfect positioning (read: ie6 will die a horrid death).

even IF Nuseo is on par (i don't know, never used it) with vbseo, they are lacking the community the vbseo has. Several vB modification makers are here, several vB staff members are here, and, well, i'm here

Now... If I'm to monitor my progress on the search engines, how do I go about that? (except how far up I'm listed on the search engines of course).

I'd like to start of a project like I see some people have allready done in the review forum.

Do you have Google Analytics? The very best measure of your improvement is increased traffic.

However, you can simply do a query at good such as:

site:yoursite.com vbseo

This will give you a "general" idea of progress with getting your pages indexed. It is by no means a highly accurate measurement, and fluctuates significantly.

I'm VERY happy I went for vbSEO. I have NuWiki, and was wondering about getting NuSEO, but ended up with vbSEO. Now, seeing NuHIT's forums filling up with spam, I think I made the right choice!
