Private forum...

Hello, I have a 500 member, 5000 thread site- of which only 3500 are publicly accessible. I'd like to load VBseo to help increase my membership base, but would like to keep the 1500 private threads private. Does VBSEO only index publicly available threads or would I have to manually remove the access to the 1500 threads?

Hi Jon,

vBSEO respects Private Forums, and even 'obscures' links that are made from them, so the target site cannot see the URL of the thread in said Private Forum.

With regards to *indexing*, that would be the vBSEO Sitemap Generator's area, and it can be set to exclude forums as you see fit.

VBseo is installed...but for some reason I lost the ability to move threads on my forum. I can only delete or undelete threads.

Did I do my install right?

I have a question about this subject - um. If I purchase vBseo, and I create a private forum for other reasons, will I bump into this same problem?

No , that error is not creted because of private forums.
