I've admired vBSEO from afar for a while but I finally decided I should do something about it subject to a few queries I have. I've been modding vBulletin for a while now so I am a little concerned that the scale of vBSEO would make many of the modifications incompatible. No source files have been changed however.

For background I'm running vB 4.1.5 CMS with several modifications and a heavily modified template.

1. I plan to shortly move my whole vB site to SSL - would that cause issues for vBSEO?
2. I have created a one-off product for the site which is effectively a bug tracker. Considering this is largely limited to external php files and new templates will this be effected by vBSEO?
3. How are the template conflicts created by the installation of vBSEO handled? An upgrade process similar to vB?
4. What happens when vBulletin is updated - how quickly does vBSEO react when a vBulletin patch creates incompatibilities?
5. I'm using the standard vB mod_rewrite to make the URLs more "friendly" - does vBSEO use the same format or different?
6. I notice you have an installation service available - would this extend to modified sites like my own and include template integration?
7. Am I right in thinking that the copyright removal option refers to "SEO by vBSEO 3.6.0 ©2011, Crawlability, Inc." in the footer?

Welcome to vBSEO , i'll try to answer your questions within same number bullets

1. We also use SSL on some pages within vBSEO.com like private messages , user cp and it doesn't cause any issues. We also have customers who are using SSL on their site without an issue
2. There should be no issues at all
3. vBSEO have its own templates and customized templates have no issue with it at all. I am using completely customized styles on my own site ( all templates rewritten from scratch ) and vBSEO causes no issues at all
4. vBSEO always follow vBulletin updates , we are on vBulletin alpha testing group so we always have earlier access to next vBulletin version and make sure vBSEO is compatible with vBulletin
5. When you install vBSEO , vBSEO require you to set vbulletin friendly urls to Standart Urls. vBSEO product installation handles this requirement. You can either customize your vBSEO url rewrite settings to match your current format or redirect your current urls to new vBSEO format
6. Our installation service includes Relavant Replacement installation. If you want our installation service covers installation of Relevant Replacement.
7. vBSEO comes with 10 different ( 5 linked & 5 unlinked ) Copyright Notice. You can choose any from vBSEO Cp. However if you like you can order Branding Free Service which will auto remove vBSEO copyright from footer

Another question though - how long would you normally expect an installation to take? I imagine the initial setup is quite quick but if you include configuration as well?

Just trying to think ahead to how much maintenance time I need to prepare for.

vBSEO installation takes around 5-10 minutes with initial configuration.
