Hi everyone.

I had the pleasure of installing your sitemap mod from vbulletin.org earlier today. Oleg was extremely helpful and his help and support led me here to a high chance of purchasing vBSEO.

Currently my forums are aimed at industry professionals (business people). I have just opened the site to the general public about 3 weeks ago. So far I have about 110 members a few which are active and some which are not. Alot of this is from google adwords, yahoo sponsored search and yahoo search submit express.

The forums are a gateway to a bigger picture and plan that I have in mind. But they are essential for getting me to where I'd like to be. Feel free to visit it at The Loan Officer Database

On to the questions, I'm sorry if some of them arent directly aimed at vBSEO and I will be more then content if you are able to even link me to the answer.

1. Does vBSEO come into effect once forums are bigger or are a big contributor right from the start?

2. Due to the "some what professional nature" that my site will have to have, I cant really participate in many link exchange programs. Is there a solution or do I have the concept wrong?

3. Can someone please tell me how linkbacks work?

4. If I were to start a second series of forums, would I need to buy a second registration of vBSEO (moral reasons)?

5. Any other advice you guys can give me that would help in properly utilizing vBSEO and any other mods or hacks out there would be greatly helpful.

1. vBSEO is a good idea at any stage. Starting out with vBSEO has the advantage that your old index content does not have to be 301-ed to start the re-indexing.

2. Well, you can build links without "exchanges" such as link farms. Directory submissions are one way. vBSEO helps with your indexing & improves your relevancy on a page by page basis for all of your content.

3. Linkbacks are just a link that someone creates to your content from their site. Generally, the more you have the better - especially those coming from high quality, related sites.

4. For each license of vBulletin you have, you will be required to purchase an additional vBSEO license. However, we do have bulk pricing available.

5. vBSEO's defaults are great, but we recommend you explore everything and seek help here at the forums if there is anything you don't understand.

Well me being a very content person and all, I think I've gotten all the answers I needed.

I'll buy a copy tonight once I get home and I already know the support is nothing less than excellent.

Plus I think the answers to many of my questions are already available in the forums.

Actually I do have one last question. On my homepage I have 4 small links on the bottom of the site linking to different Forums. I'm assuming I need to change those hyperlinks if I run vBSEO.

Hello Ali,
There's no need to change hyperlinks in your templates at all. Additionally, you have the option to use a non-linked vBSEO copyright notice.
