I have talked with my coder of my website, don't know if I need to link it or not, but here it is if that is required for this discussion:

1) He is stating after reading the Zoints discussion on vbulletin.org that we don't need this at all. I don't particulary agree with him and would like to know more in a definitive sense of what this product would do for us. I've seen the bulleted advantages shown on the buying page, and would just like a "leymans" explanation if possible.

2) With so many other sites using VB SEO or Zoints right now, how can we guarantee that it will still help our website out? I mean there is so much competition as is, that I don't see how everyone getting this helps anything, it's like we're all on the same playing field again with SEO and crawl engines.

3) There was mention of branding. I don't know what the requirement is and would like to find out prior to purchase and being suprised with having to include some massive ridiculous banner. If you are referring to something on the bottom of the page, like where it says powered by vbulletin 3.6.8 that is cool and no problems there.

4) Is there an "____ day money back guarantee" if it does not work for us or in fact hurts our crawlability?

5) Is the Mod rewrite bad to use or not? Does that affect all forum links, or just thread links? Meaning like, not the main forum URL?

Does this website offer installation assistance with Vbseo?

As well as troubleshooting to see if the VBseo/Sitemap generator is working properly?

Lastly, do we or do we not have to continually maintain the sitemap generator, I think I read somewhere that it takes near daily attention in the Admin Cp?

If you face any troubles you can create a support ticket or create a thread at troubleshoothing forums and a member from vBSEO Total Support team will assist you.

Sitemap generator runs via a scheduled task in admincp.

I meant if we buy can we have a rep from this site install it for us, assuring that it's installed correctly?

So in short, if I buy this there is no verification that I can receive as to whether it's working or not?

Installation of vBSEO takes less then 5 minutes and it is well documented. If you face any problem during installation you can create a support ticket for assistance.

I think i answered your question pretty correctly. vBSEO doesn't offer a paid installation service but vBSEO offer all kind of assistance during installation process via support ticket.

The sitemap generator creates a Cron Job and this cron job runs the sitemap generator every day. You can check your webmasters account daily in order to improve your sitemaps keywords etc... but that is webmasters choice.

Without trying to be a jerk here, let me xplain my situation. * amidst loading things into my ftp and posting on my own forums *

It was suggested by someone at a different forum for Administrators of forums that I should use Zoints. I was not content with this and just thought that hopefully a paid for version would work better. In reality both are like plug ins or modifications acting off of vbulletins software and set up.

In adding that I then added the VB SEO sitemap generator provided by someone on this site at vbulletin.org in relation the sitemap issue. We have not got assistance on the trouble we are having with our sitemap in regards to that add-on so I immediately have concerns of using VbSEO which was my first choice because of an "existing" lack of support with the current issues related to the .htaccess file.

The bottom line in short is that the money is not an issue at all, and I can pay it right now. But I want to get what I'm paying for and I want the sitemap generator to work or else there is no use in wasting money and I'll just keep zoints and find a different site map creator to upload to both yahoo and google webmaster controls.

In closing if I can get verification that it works or is working by some sort of test after installation, I'll purchase. If not, I'll find a work around of the site map issue.

P.S. The issue with the sitemap generator second question was that somewhere it stated or someone did that we have to go into the cron and delete out old sitemaps daily, I'm not interested in that whatsoever, as that is too much maintenance or daily attention to make sure its working. Is this true or false?

During the installation process you can create a support ticket and on each step a support member can assist you during the installation. We also will like to assist you 301 redirecting old zoints url to new vBSEO url format.

The .htaccess that comes with vBSEO has already both code for vBSEO and vBSEO Sitemap Generator. vBSEO Sitemap Generator is a free product but it works without any problem. If you face any problems you can either create a support ticket or create a thread @ troubleshooting forums in order to get assistance.

You donot need to delete the sitemaps each other day. I don't know who told you that but that is totally wrong. Each day when the cron job runs the generator the existing sitemap files are replaced automatically with the script so you donot need to worry about them at all.

Truly. I have another question then.

What happens if vbulletin.com does more upgrades or releases on there system, can you guarantee that it will not affect VB SEO's performance?

If it did affect vbSEO's performance how would we know?

If Jelsoft updates vBulletin then our staff will make sure to update vBSEO to work with the new system. Just an easy example for you can be vBulletin Blog. Jelsoft released vBulletin Blog and vBSEO staff worked on the system after it is released and we currently start beta testing of vBulletin Blog rewrite rules with vBSEO 3.0.1 version. Will the VBSEO updates for vbulletin blog work with other blog systems? If not, can we request that it be updated to do so?

With Custom Rewrite Rule module you can get vBSEO work with other applications to have static url's instead of dynamic url's.
