Hello -
I'm considering purchasing vbSEO for my site, and wanted to get confirmation on a question first.
My site is an artist community, similar to the popular art sites deviantART and GFXartist.
I noticed that there is a restriction on vbSEO which prohibits pornographic content. My site is family-friendly and absolutely forbids pornographic content of any kind, however some of the artists in my community occasionally post artistic nudes, which we permit for artistic expression (paintings, drawings, or photographs, such as might be seen in a museum, classic paintings, etc). This is by no means the primary or even significant content on the site, but it is present to a degree.
These images are almost exclusively managed separately from vBulletin via a gallery in my CMS, and only very rarely might appear referenced within the forum. All artistic nudes submitted to the site are tagged as such and do not display at all unless a registered member opts to view "mature" content by manually choosing the option in their control panel. Since this content is not visible to unregistered visitors, or members who haven't specifically opted to view it, it is also not visible to search engines at all. The level of artistic nudity is restricted in the same way as on many other artist sites, not allowing the display of male or female genitals, sexual acts of any kind, or of children, and is strictly and actively moderated to ensure compliance.
Since the acceptable use policy is not fully clear about this, and given the specific situation outlined above (artistic nudes not pornography, only viewable by registered members who specifically choose it, primarily controlled by CMS gallery not vBulletin, and not viewable to search engines), I wanted to check before making my purchase. I hope that I'll be able to use this excellent software.
Thanks.
