Performance on a very large board?

    Hello,

I'm hoping someone can give us an idea of what kind of % of load increase we can expect to see if we add vBSEO to a very large forum. We have between 4000-5500 concurrent users during the day (based on 15min timeout cookies) and over 7 million posts.

We're running on 2 DB and 12 webservers with a load balancer.

We're going to run some tests internally, but if anybody has experience using vBSEO on a board of this size that they can share, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hello Derek ,

I added your username to our Big Board admins group so you can have access to our Big Board section. There are lots of big boards running vBSEO without any problem. If you are going to run tests , please create a support ticket and request a test license so we can issue a test license to you.

What we can suggest you to is to check vBSEO Optimization Tips located at vBSEO Optimization Tips

How is your performance now Marco?

If everything is running smoothly now, you should have no trouble with vBSEO. If you are already running at capacity (i.e server near overload) then you would need to upgrade or do some optimization before I would recommend adding vBSEO. Of course, if you are at capacity, I'm sure this is something you are already considering to increase performance.

I've just moved to a new server. Coming up to 2.5 million posts and 2000 online and averaging about 1.5 server load (and that's on default settings. In the process of optimizing for vB).

TBH I have nothing really to compare to. I've never had any problems. If are running on a dozen servers you should have no problems at all.
