Other Benefits of vBSEO

Suppose I do not want to change the structure of my URLs. What would be some of the other benefits of using vBSEO? Does using it require changing the url structure?
(ex. showthead.php to /title-of-thread/)

It's in English, for me. Btw, you can change the CP language if it's not.
