    Question New Release Compatibility?

    Hello Everyone,

Well, I gotta say that vbSEO looks like a great product, but I have a few questions before I decide to go ahead with this addition.

    1. First, what is the most current version (version #)?

    2. Is it supported and gold?

    3. Is it compatible with my setup?

    - vb3.5.4
    - CMPS 2.1.0
    - Photopost post 5.31
    - Reviewpost 3.32
    - Photopost Classifieds 2.5
    - vbAdvanced Links Directory 1.0.1
    - FlashChat 4.6.0.

In addition, I probably have 20+ mods installed from vbulletin.org

    4. Are there any mods/hacks that vbSEO will conflict with?

    5. Is there a fee to install it and optimize it?

    6. If not, Is there a link that can give me a good description on how to optimze vbSEO on my own?

    Thank You,

    Nuguru

1, 3.0.0 RC6 is "stable", and being used 100's of sites. RC7 is due out soon, as a necessary feature was left out.

2, yes, vBseo is HIGHLY supported, both on the forums and via trouble tickets.

3, yes. The only one i'm not familiar with is flash chat. Someone else will have to say for sure, but i don't believe there to be any issues

4, other seo hacks, maybe. other than that, none.

5, the script is cake to install (ftp files, import a product, done (tweak if desired)), but can be installed for you by the support team at your request. optmizing it, there are multiple options per setting, plus a custom block. With seo, there is no definitive setting to pick... its a lot of a trail and error.

6, there are pointers throughout the control panel. Have a look at the demo: http://www.vbseo.com/demo/

What feature was left out? And if I go ahead with the purchase/install now, how easy with it be to upgrade to RC7 with the new feature?

Does anyone know of any complications here?

as for RC7, the only "feature" missing is not required. I'm not at liberty to discuss this yet.... but everything as is works fine. What's missing is an enhancement to what is already available to make things a little easier.

after RC7, i anticipate a gold release--- assuming the new addition works as intended.

    upgrading is a 30-second process.

make a back up XML of your settings just in case (built in, 2 clicks to save the xml, and 2 to re-import it should something go wrong)

then, ftp up the new release, and re-import the product, checking the allow over-ride option in the vb ACP.

then, return to the vbseocp.php page, and make sure all your settings are there correctly (if not, import the XML backup) and update the license key for the new version (copy/paste).

vbseo is really the easiest product to work with that I've used.
