Mostly URL Questions

Hey everyone,

The main reason I came over here is because of the attraction for the URL rewrite features vbSEO offers, it’s exactly what I want. I have a few questions relating to it:

1)How exactly does the rewrite work? Does it just create a bunch of 301 redirects, forgetting about the old URL’s, and how does that affect the search engines (The old URLs)?

2)How much coding is involved? I’m not exactly a coding expert and was wondering how much physical editing is required (within the templates and such).

3)Does it offer any features like more adsense ads for guests, less for members?

4)Is there any way to just get the URL’s rewritten for my forum, like purchasing a portion of vbSEO?

5)If not, then I’m not exactly sure what else vbSEO offers, How does it build relevant links, improve adsense earnings, etc. (I’m not looking for all the secrets to be spilled or anything, just curious if it alters code or something)

1. Old url's are 301 redirected to new url's. Your old indexed pages will redirect to your new static urls

2. vBSEO installation takes around 5 minutes which includes file uploads and a product import.

3. Unfortunately there is no such feature however there are other adsense improvements such as adsense targeting.

4. vBSEO has only 1 package for sale.

I'm still a little unsure about the coding though. How deep do we delve into it? Or is it all accessed from something like the AdminCP? (All aspects of the code, if yes?)

OK, actually I had one more question, when we purchase the software, is it just downloadable, similar to vBulletin, or do we also get something tangible, like a CD or something?
