Looking to purchase, got some questions

Hello I am looking to purchase this and was wondering how it will help me with my forum Bodybuilding & Fitness Community - Talk Fitness

What I am basically looking to have it do is show the url as http://www.talkfitness.org/supplemen...upplement.html

Now can I do this with the url thing, and what other features would this help me with getting lots of search engine results?

    Thanks alot in advance.

    Hello,

you can customize URL formats in vBSEO control panel and you can define a "spacer" character (which is "-" by default and "_" in your case). The thread ID is a required part for showthread URL formats though, so URLs in your case may be looking like http://www.talkfitness.org/supplemen...ement-123.html (where 123 is an ID).

Hello, okay thankyou so I can do what I am looking to do, the only thing is I am wondering is could I have the ID before the thread name like this:

    http://www.talkfitness.org/supplemen...upplement.html

Where the 123 is before "whats_the_best...."

Also what other come with VBSEO?, and what does it do besides make the urls a .html?

Thankyou. Oh and I can definitely make the pages a .html format instead of talkfitness.org/supplement_forum/123-whats_the_best_supplement without the trailing .html?

I would basically like my urls to be like www.fireblades.org's ones where the threads are .html ones. - I need to know if I can have these sames urls for sure.

Yes, you can put thread ID in the beginning and basically freely modify URLs to any form you like.
There are many other features included with vBSEO besides URL rewrites, you can check all options in vBSEO Control Panel in demo here: http://www.vbseo.com/demo/

Okay thankyou, it looks very good, so how hard is vbseo to install? and when I purchase this can I get help with putting the thread ID in the beginning?

Also, I see that beside forum tools theres "Link Back", when you install vbseo does it automatically add that feature?

If I purchase this will it help me get my threads in the google search engine more?(Like will I see a big amount of traffic).

Lastly is the 150 american dollars?

The installation should take under 5 minutes. If you run into any trouble you can open a support ticket to get help, including assistance with setting the CRU configuration to include thread IDs at the beginning.

    LinkBacks are enabled by default.

vBSEO will help re-structure your forum to improve crawling, indexing, and ranking. The amount of improvement varies from forum to forum, but vBSEO-enabling your forum is a major step towards harnessing greater web traffic.

A vBSEO license costs $149. It is a lifetime license. Optional renewals for access to upgrades are provided for $35/year.

Thanks very much, so I can get some help with some settings, cool.

Um about the apache,I have this and I have the mod_rewrite , but the only thing is my forum domain isn't the main domain being hosted under the shared hosting I have which enables me to have several domains hosted under it, so to my question will mod_rewrite module still be enabled under this domain that isn't the main domain being hosted under my hosting service?

Sorry I know that was long, thanks in advance.

mod_rewrite is likely enabled and available for use for any domain on your server.

If you need any help with settings, please post them in the forums.

I was wondering what modules this is compatibile with (I need it to work the the ad management mod) and was hearing about Zend or Ioncube downloads of VBSEO, what does this mean, which one would I download and lastly is there any script that I can download to test if vbseo will even work on my forum?

    Thanks.

    There is a test script.

http://www.vbseo.com/downloads/ - look for it there...upload to your server and call it in your browser.

Yes, $149 for a lifetime license. But you only get one year of updates (as with vBulletin itself) before having to pay another, smaller fee - $35 per year afterwards.

The amount is in U.S. Dollars.

I can't give you an answer to if vbseo would work with the ads management module (but I see no reason why it wouldn't)

I've used both the Zend and the Iconcube versions of vBSEO and I never noticed any difference. It really depends on what your host has on the server, and then just pick the best one available. Looking at your test script, you should be safe at downloading either copy.

Again, as far as I am concerned there is no difference between the two encoded versions...as far as performance goes.

vBSEO should not cause any conflicts with your ad management module.

Zend and IonCube are two options we provide to ensure that your server is compatible with your software. We have not confirmed any neligible performance differences between the two.
