    Local, Small Niche Forum Help?!

Hey guys. I was curious as to how much a program like vbSEO can help someone with a small-niche forum such as myself?

I run www.londongolfers.com, a small golf forum in London, Ontario. We have a little over 100 members right now, and I am looking to really pump up the traffic in the next few months. Within an hour of London, there are almost 1 million people. Ofcourse, not all of them golf, and even less are interested in Golf Forums..

I just learned how to view my page rank, and it is a big fat 0!!! Also, I have no idea on how to add a summary for my website that is viewable upon google.. (You know, the thing that describes the site under the search result on google... Put in londongolfers.com in Google, and you will see what I mean.
I did the "site:www.londongolfers.com" search, and I get 1290 total results.. (If I click "Show all omitted results")
So, basically, how can a program such as vbSEO improve the amount of people that go to my site? With such a small market, how much can vbSEO actually help www.LondonGolfers.com?

Thanks in Advance! ANY ANY Help is appreciated!!

Ok, I have figured out how to add a summary.. Turns out, I had a bunch of unrelated garbage set as Meta Tags.. That issue is fixed.. Come on Google Spiders!!

Any input if vbSEO will help such a small area forum?

    Hi Matt,

Since you are targetting a specific geographic market, your intended audience is more restricted than many forums that are instead open typically to a particular topic/language.

However, regardless of the size of your audience or their location, SEO will help to generate more traffic.

With vBSEO on your forum, this will occur on a thread by thread basis.

My recommendation for you is to put a lot of time into analyzing what it is that someone in your target demographic would search for. Not just the obvious main keywords, but the other variations.

Make sure you then continue to populate your forum with new content containing those words.
