Question Last used VBSEO on V-bulletin 3.X, will it work on 4.X?

    Hi,

It's been two years since I ran VBSEO on a VB 3.X forum. I own the license. Can I download the latest version that will work on VB 4.X? I have VB 4.X now. Thanks

    Hello Douglas,

If your license is expired you can renew it for a cost of $35 and you'll get access to latest builds and support for a year.

If your license is still active, yes, you can download latest vBSEO version and use it on your vB 4 forum.

Thanks. Let me just make absolutely clear. Going from vB 3 to vB 4, I had to buy my V-bulletin license all over again and I assume the vB 4 forum was some major departure from vB 3. However, on the VBSEO side of things, you guys didn't do some major overhaul and all I have to do is upgrade my 2 year old software and it will work on my vB 4 forum? Thanks for tolerating a redundant (but helpful) question.

You should use vBSEO 3.5.x in vBulletin 4. vBSEO 3.3.x series will reach EOL soon and aren't fully compatible with vBulletin 4.

Yes, you only need to follow upgrade instructions in readme.html file. All of your settings will be ported to latest version because they are stored in datastore table within your database. However please download a vbseo_all.xml file before and after upgrading to keep a backup of all settings.

We did not follow vb with their license changes (we are our own company). It is as they were before.
