Hello I just purchased VbSeo, but it didn't say anything of where to download it, please help.
Thank you.
All accounts are manually activated and may take up to 24 hours (probably less, as Joe is on right now)
After that, http://www.vbseo.com/downloads/
Yup thanks, I just downloaded it, but am looking how to install,
so you
1. upload all the files, from the "upload" folder to your root, but what about the files in that folder that are named the same as the vbulletin forum ones?
2. Upload the .xml file through plugins, and then your done???
The download pak is set up to place everything in its correct vB folder....
ie, all XML goes in with all the vB xml, and so on. That way your forum stays organized.
most ftp clients will upload the folder structure intact. No items are named the same, so don't worry about over-writing anything.
After upload, (and make sure the .htacces file got uploaded to /forumroot as well)
go into the ACP, and install the product in the Documentation folder (crawlability_vbseo.xml)
then, go to yourdomain.com/forums/vbseocp.php and enter your license key and tweak your settings.
note: you may need to chmod the config file to be writiable first
I have a problem, when I try to go to my control panel it comes up with "Internal Sever Error" and is the same when you go to my forum www.talkfitness.org, please what to do?
thats usually casued by an htaccess error.
rename .htaccess to htacces.txt and your baord shoudl work (but vbseo won't)
Yeah your right, I had renamed it to htaccess.txt and my board does work, but I how do I go about installing vbseo now with the htaccess named differently.
Could you please elaborate more on this error.
Thank you.
chances are theres a typo in the htaccess file itself to cause this to error out. (htaccess is a server-level command, thus it throws 500 errors)
try re-uploading the htaccess file from the download file without any modifications to it at all. if that still doesn't work, there might be some server config that may need to be done to get your host to work... some cheap hosts do not allow htaccess files.
Hi, Okay I tried uploading the .htaccess file by itself(I hadn't done anything to it in the first place, was I supposed to?) and it still shows up with this error.
Please what do I do now.
no, no changes are necessary from the default file.
Next step would be to open a support ticket here with the staff, along with trying to find out if your host supports it by reading their FAQ or putting in a ticket at your host/provider.
if you're on a dedicated/vps, you might need to do some reading to figure out how to enable it in apache.
Apache Tutorial: .htaccess files
Hi, I do have apache+mod_rewrite enabled on my shared hosting from godaddy and have used this module with another php software I have hosted on the server that make the urls go to .html.
I just submitted a support ticket here cause I don't know what else to do.
Thank you for your help so far, and I hope I can get this working.
Hello,
