Joomla and VBSEO

Hello,

I've searched the forums and didn't find an answer to my question so I'm sorry if this has been asked already.

I was wondering if vbSEO would provide SEO for my Joomla install which is installed in the root directory while VB is installed in a forums directory. I plan to use the Joomla wrapper to display my forums.

I would also like the communities thought on installing Joomla in a separate DB from VB and how it would affect SEO. Thank you for your time and help with this. Have a great day.

natively, no.

because vbseo will be out of scope, you will have to do some custom programming using these: vBSEO Functions for Extensibility

what database you use has 0 effect on seo.... just means if you ever want to join cross-db tables in a query, its a pain..tojoin, especially if you have different user/auth passwords and such. I'd suggest against it. Just use prefixes.
