Install question + Other

Well sometime this week I'm going to most likely purchase vBSEO , I wanted to know if i could have it installed so that "Inferno Mini profile hack" would work with it , i saw it on 2 sites now which i'm not going to advertise but in the PM he sayed

The reason it works on here/there is because they/us have vBseo, which customizes friendly links, so it's member/admin.html instead of member/1.html , to get it to work with vbseo, you have to make a custom rewrite rule with vbseo that does both, so it's members/1-admin.html. When you go over each person, look to the bottom left and it shows the link. Im not sure how to get it working with member/4924.html though, never tried.

Could you guys get it to work with member/4924.html if i payed for it along with vBSEO itself?

And also , I'm not sure about this but with vBulletin i can download it whenever i want as i did not have it on my Laptop and had to download it again so can i download it if i ever switch domain / server / whatever else , or would i have to contact you guys or something?

Customizing url rewrite settings is very easy. You can check this from vBSEO demo . However if you want , you can create a support ticket and ask us to asist you updating your member url rewrite settings. Once you save your settings , you can easily backup them via vBSEO Cp as an xml file and restore them any time you want.

Know ahead of time, that if you allow special characters in user names that you should use the user_id parameter as well to avoid conflicts.

ie,

$bill
and
-bill

will both end up going to /users/-bill/, rendering one of the profiles unaccessible.
