    Inquiry about VbSeo

    Hello

My name is Matthew, I am currently running a Vbulletin site(lhrgaming.com) have been for almost 3 years now. I am running VB 4.1.2 as my forum with an integration of drupal as my frontpage. My website is primarily a gaming community.

I have been looking for a great way to increase my traffic. The past several weeks I have been doing a lot of research with SEO. A few days ago I stumbled across the Vbseo program. I have been reading a lot of reviews. Which has led me to a few questions.

    Currently my website has
    8,700 pages with google.
    231 pages with yahoo.
I have read that users with small website notice huge increases of traffic within weeks, months. Google pages rank up as well as yahoo, however users with an average/large size website with already a decent amount of pages with google sees a decrease in pages with google, and a slight increase with yahoo, for the next several months, but then picks up massively.

I consider my website an average size website with about 12,000 registered members, with about 150,000 posts. Averaging 200+ post a day.#1 My question is should I expect to see a decrease in google pages, and traffic from search engines within the first few months, followed by increasing results after?

I know the VbSeo program currently offers some type of set up for the program itself and google analytics. #2 I am running Vbulletin 4.1.2, is the current version of VBseo compatible with that version of Vbulletin?

Also I am only using Vbulletin just as a forum option. I am currently using a integration between drupal and vbulletin, as my frontpage(Homepage). Will this interfere with the results, functionality of the program?

I have attached a screenshot of my stats for the past several months.

    Hello mathew,

An initial drop in traffic is expected while the SE's sort out your new urls and re-ranks you. This takes most sites 2-6 weeks. Afterwards, traffic usually AT LEAST returns, but usually increases over pre-installation levels.

Analytics integration with vbseo is as easy as entering in your UA-xxxxx-x account number into the control panel and turning the setting on.

vbseo is fully compatible with all vbulletin versions 3.7 and higher (and 99% on 3.6+) including the latest vb4 releases.

Drupal integration won't be effected so long as it is in it's own directory (ie, drupal in root, vb in /forum). If they are both in the same folder, there will be conflicts with the rewrite engines as both systems operate on a catch-all.

    Hello Brian,

Thank you for the quick response.

I just checked, Vbdrupal is in its own folder. So there should be no problems there.

That answers all my questions now.

Thank you again for your help.
