Image/Photo mods and vbSEO

Hi all,

I currently have Photopost running on my site. Will vbSEO rewrite those URLs also? Photopost is installed in a different directory than VB on my site.

Also, I'm not too happy with Photopost... any suggestions on options that work with vbSEO?

Hi Nadreg,

Yes, custom rewrite rules can be applied to Photopost pages.

The code will need to be modified to include the titles of the images, as these are not present in the original URL, but you can have (for example) - December - New Zealand Photo Gallery @ http://www.nzboards.com/photos | Kall & Sparkle at Xmas - New Zealand Photo Gallery @ http://www.nzboards.com/photos

Hi, thanks for the reply.

So, Photopost has a "seo" of it's own, but it's pretty crazy. Multiple URLs point to the same page. If I implement the custom rewrite rules, will it redirect all of the old ones to the same vbSeo'd page?

I'd ditch Photopost and go with Photoplog. Photoplog is cheaper (only 35 dollars) and integrates 100% with vBulletin. I just purchased it yesterday (to replace my Photopost) and I love it. You can see how I have it so far here: Mustang Pictures

The urls are rewritten with VBSEO

You can purchase it here: Forum - PHP MySQL Gallery Script for vBulletin

Unfortunately not at this time (not that I could find anyway). I am sure with demand there would be one though .

I wasn't too terribly worried about it. I wanted to clean up the gallery anyways. My members had uploaded over 3GB worth of media to photopost. It'll be wiped out in a few weeks after I give people a chance to back up anything they want.

I can't ditch it out and i am looking an alternative to vbgallery since that is dead. Are you planning to sell photopost license ?

I'd ask Morgan over on photoplog.com if a importer is possible because I go the Photopost route. I'll sell it to you if you want but I'd rather not see someone interested in SEO get Photopost. It's really horrible.

Could you post those modifications somewhere? I can´t get photopost to work with vbSeo installed. :(
