IIS Rewrite Beta

I am waiting for IIS vbseo to come out of beta.
The question I have is about the encoder. I have tried to run Zend and it crashes my servers. I am doing testing to make sure vbseo IIS will run once it is released. Unfortunately I don't think it will happen.
Is there any other way to run it without installing buggy software that crashes IIS?

What about ioncube?

Get the same results. I paid $199 for the pro copy and and when I test using the phpadmin encoded version from their site it hangs IIS. I have to restart IIS. I've tried other encoded scripts as well and get the same result. If an encoder is needed I'll have to look at other alternatives to spend the money for my sites.

Both ionCube and Zend de-coders should be free. Are you sure you are installing the right thing?

Usually IIS works fine with Zend, what version of Zend are you installing?

I am also waiting for the IIS version w/ISAPI.

I only have PHP5 and MySQL 4.1 on my server. I installed PHP via the ActiveState distribution.

Do I need to install one of the Zend packages in order to use the URL rewrite? Can someone point me to a good resource for Zend w/VB? I'm not entirely clear on what it does and why I will need it.

As far I could see there is no free ionCude decoder. They have an accelerator that decodes, but, they have no version of it for Windows.
I used the newest version of Zend with php 5.1.2. There is no way I could use it on a live server. On the test server with only 25 people accessing it at any given time the resources are through the roof. It also locks w3wp worker processes and eats up the memory. Have to recyle the appool to free the process and clear the memory.
I want to buy a few licenses, but, if I have to use Zend then I can forget about it.
Thanks anyway. I'll continue to do manual rewrites. A pain in the neck but efficient none the less.

Could I also get a copy for IIS?

I just switched my webhosting from Dreamhost to my own dedicated server and damnit, I already setup IIS for all my websites instead of apache, so rather then do everything over again(on apache) I'd like to try this out.

If somebody running only IIS orders vbseo, do they access to the IIS download or is this something we should ask for access to PRIOR to ordering?

I've had my eyes on vbseo for many months now, IIS support is the only thing holding me back.

Once your purchase is processed, you can request the IIS version through a support ticket.
