    Question Is this idiot proof?

    Hi

I have switched to vBulletin for my forum and had already heard of vBSEO. http://goinggreenonline.co.uk/forum/index.php

I am not an IT expert..my skills are okay..but that's about it. A simple question that has probably been asked a thousand times (Sorry )

Can I load the software, use the defaults and just let vBSEO do its thing?

    Thanks

    Wow!!

I just learned something....I love the way it changed the URL link to a sensible title...no / . index etc

I think I like this product already

To your original question, yes. vBSEO is very easy to install. Upload a few files, import a product just like any other vbulletin product, and that is it.

vBSEO comes very well optimized straight out of the box, so if you do not feel like tinkering, then so be it.

I make my money trading the Sports exchange www.betfair.com and whilst I can moderate my site (albeit with help from my webmaster ) I would really prefer it if the software was installed professionally by you guys.

If I place an order today (1:45 PM your time) how long before it is up and running on my forum?

    Thanks

    Dave

That is a very common mistake Dave, but an important one to correct. I spend a lot of time alerting customers of that issue after install.

Why are we suggested to remove the "Powered by vBulletin" tag?

Well I now believe that it takes up valuable characters that could be put to better use...well I think so anyway! I don't think it does any harm but I believe the space could be put to better use. Hell...I'm a newbie and am only just learning about this game.

It adds terms to your title (an important part of your page to optimize) that are in no way related to your niche..... UNLESS you run a forum about "vBulletin".

    Hey Mario,

You are allowed to remove the powered by vbulletin from the page title. However unless you buy the branding free from vbulletin, you cannot remove your brand from the footer.

Correct. The footer is not going to impact you significantly. The the title is vital.
