I am total new to this ....

I have my vbulletin forum only 1 month
and I hear only good things about vbseo
sure I would love to have soon good traffic on my forum.
Now I am really new and cannot SEO
if I pay this + install service
will everything be already done so that it will work fine?

I have htaccess files too
will they be checked if all ok
Can I maybe just hire also some more technicail help
that really all runs smooth?

This is the problem I had, installed it ok but i then got errors i couldn't fix.

Thankfully a technical member helped me resolve it but I still need someone to install the sitemap for me and then check everything is ok and change settings in CP to suit my site.

Im willing to pay whoever for this.

So be aware if your not 100% good with things like this you will get problems (like me)

Yes installed it myself mate, it was easy enough to do if you no how to instal v bulletin etc

I'm not 100% sure on how to install the sitemaps though so waiting for someone to help me with that and then the setup of vbseo in admin to suite my site.

I really don't know if the default settings are better than nothing to be honest, I guess they need changing but I don't know what too etc so im waiting for someone to do this and help me and ill pay them (seems easier said that done though) lol

I find with such things it should be possible to get more paid tech support.

I experienced a google ban on my old forum which was hosted for free, I dont know til now why I got banned, with such a free hosted board you have no access to all.
So I am really afraid to make any mistakes.

I was the same, I am currently on google and all engines so slightly worried about that incase I loose the lot!

VBSEO seems to be what I need though so I've gone for it and I hope it works out well for me, if I don't get any help though on installing the sitemaps and setting it up then I have wasted alot of money :( so im praying someone will take me up on the offer and help me.

The default settings are ok, to install sitemap is easy just follow step by step the instructions in the readme file.

Don't you need to change settings in default though to suit your own keywords?

I looked at the sitemap and I can obviously put the folders in the correct sections but the ht file again looks like it could cause problems. I looked at the readme but I had to click on a certain server type of which I didn't know what the answer was.

Would you be interested in helping me?

When I've got mine setup ill help you. Im ok at installing (although the htaccess file was tricky) it's just the setting up in admincp I don't know.

the htaccess thing

do you know how many htaccess you may have at one domain?
I have one at my main and another one at /forum
and now you tell me there is again one in the VB SEO

We have some lines that you need to add to your existing .htaccess (if you have one already. This is very straightforward, but it also fully included in our install service.

The default settings are all that most customers use. They will do a great job for you. After you are up and running you can submit a request for critique to get some more suggestions for your forum. If you lack the tech skills to make any of the suggestions, then you can always hire a programmer to help you. Fortunately, most stuff is very straightforward.
