    How will this effect load?

    Well,

    Im very close to purchasing this script right now but atm we have 400 users online and once it hits the 400 the server cannot handle the requests and simply crashes , our server atm needs to be upgraded, we have 2gig of ram with a 2.8ghz p4 dedicated server....

    My plan is to make all the posts accessable (over half a million) to the SEO script to allow them to be crawled, how do you think my load will be effected and how many users online would you think ide reach..

    Recommendations??

    If you are at maximum load now, you don't want to add more load and amplify your problem. Wait until you upgrade your hardware.

    @Dan:

    vBSEO will definitely help you. However, it is absolutely critical that you move to a server that can handle your current capacity and provide room for growth. This must be your first priority.

    Re: How will this effect load?

    I really do want this script and my intensions where to beta test failed sadly but at the moment our server keeps reaching its max load and wanting to purchase this script will only halt the server even more.

    Whoever says being popular doesnt come without its problems lies :P

    Re: How will this effect load?

    Tweaked my forum configurations slightly, like similar threads (removed) and users online and viewing thread i put as random rather than alphabetical, with 400 ppl doing this the load is intense, i hope for the load to drop by at least 50% if this works, hell ill be happy.

    Any other recommendations?

    change your kernel to 2.6... , apache to 2... and adjust it correctly
    then it is already better
