how do you uninstall vbseo? got scammed by an imposter!!!

i paid a guy over 200$ to make my forum SEO, he told me everything was easy fast legal crystal clear. I didn't know what i was buying exactly. I was buying basically his expertise. He told me he will improve my forum with the best SEO technology on the market. So I agreed. Now that scammer, installed VBSEO, that I couldda got for 150$ as I see here, too much errors, my forum aint workin right anymore. I tried to contact him, he disappeared. I read sources and sources to get to know finally that he installed vbseo. I am not an expert in vbulletin, but i went to read online to uninstall it. I deleted htaccess file and all files having seo in their names. I uninstalled it from plugin, and now my site doesn't even open at all. It doesn't even take me to index.php anymore. I want this fixed asap. I am the maddest person on earth now. I am ready to give you all the files I downloaded from ftp that he installed for you to trace that person. I even found in some files that he included baccklinks to some of his sites that are hidden from the page, for him to get better PR. Damn Im furious!

Did you take a backup before this scammer started his 'SEO' work?

While I am new on this forum I have done a lot of coding freelance work and run a large(ish) VB forum so I can definately help you sort it out.

Sounds like he as done that already but if he has manually deleted any file with 'seo' in the file name he has made the job much harder!

Also, the OP doesnt say if the scammer 'only' installed VBSEO or if they did some other 'mods'

yes i have a vbulletin license... i never bought a vbseo license, and i never agreed to buy it or install it, please tell me how to uninstall it, i already paid 200$ to some con programmer to improve my site and he scammed me, and i got it tracked to your script. help me uninstall it

i didn't even know that i paid for a script, if i knew it i wouldnt pay more to get it for over 200$ while i can get here for 149 i think, and if i never blamed you personally, i am ready to send you all the files that i have in my possession

OUCH! that sucks man, tell me once you buy vBSEO. I can help you out on the installing part if you want me to.

For your knowledge : vBSEO is not a free software.

In order to get vBSEO uninstalled , you need to uninstall vBSEO product via product manager , remove .htaccess file and remove all vBSEO files you uploaded during installation.

this is what i did and my site doesnt load anymore, i guess it's an htaccess file problem, when i deleted everything nothing happens, all works, and then after 10 to 20 minutes, the site stops

What do you mean by

'the site stops'?

Why does it stop and what happens? does it timeout? 404 error? much more precise details needed to help you here//
