not much. i knew next to nothing when i got mine. other than a couple IM questions with Bama, i did it all on my own.

after you buy it, they install everything and give you root passwords, etc, and if you got cpanel/whm package, you're already on your way to getting your sites set up.

the hardest part is uploading the ioncube/zend files to the right directory, then editing the php.ini to reference its location through SSH

Brian I hope you don't think I'm teaching you how to suck eggs.

But, your PR looks like it's going down to a 3 next update.

You may have read here that my traffic dropped a lot recently, so I paid for a lot of links, mainly article and blog posts.

Since this my predicted PR has gone up to a 6 and my pages are coming out of supplemental and search traffic is rising considerably.

Personally I think this would benefit your referrals greatly.

I really don't care if my PR is a 1. its meaningless and worthless to care about IMO. My uniques have been constant throughout.

And I refuse to waste money buying links.

I've yet to spend a dime on this site advertising it, and i most likely never will.

As far as I'm aware PR is a sign of the quantity and quality of your incomming links.

SERPs are based on your incoming links.

I only memtioned as you said a few posts back your traffic is way down, obviously it's back to normal now.

The point i'm trying to make was that my participation is down, and as a result my PPD average is down, which means people aren't posting as much.

Nice story and congrats. Just wondering though. Is it not a bit ironic that you bought a BMW and a scooby when you run a Honda forum? lol

hey Brian, Conrats on your success. I really like the layout you have for your site, it is similar to mine.
I was looking at how you have your photopost pics come up in a square block with adsense adds next to them and really like that idea. I have photopost but dont know how to set it up like that. Could you explain how you were able to set it that way?
    thanks.

i dont think you can buy a car with google adsense... they pay so little, but it did trick me into buying seo.

i've owned several hondas in my day. keep in mind that i started this site in early 2001 when i was just out of college. Things change a lot in 7 years... especially income levels, and honda hasn't made a good car since the 2000 civic si anyway....

i'd love to tell you how i did it, but i have no idea. i spent a week hacking things together to make it work. photopost sucks and i wish i never bought it. lol but i'm stuck with it now i guess... too many pics in there to move.

adsense is about 60-70% of my income per month, so i would not agree with this statement at all. Sure, i'd love for them to pay more, but it's more than enough to pay for my server expenses and then some

With enough sites, sure you can!

Last part of your statement made me laugh

I have been following this testimonial and tracking as much possible information to replicate the success. I have been failing.
Things just don't add up, and short of me logging into his Google Adsense, i will always be a bit skeptical. But, to what he has figured out that we don't.

Anyhow, the days of generating a $100 a day from Google Adsense from one site for me are still a ways away.
