How did vBSEO Buy a Young Entrepreneur a BMW M3 Luxury Car?

How did vBSEO Buy a Young Entrepreneur a BMW M3 Luxury Car?

Most forum admins are familiar with the concept of SEO. In fact, they are well aware that getting ranked prominently in search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN can deliver a flood of traffic to their sites. But they are usually left with several unsettling questions:

Does SEO really work? Will I really see a benefit after spending thousands of dollars on SEO consultant services?

Brian Cummiskey of Connecticut knows the value of choosing the right SEO solution. After installing a $149 copy of vBSEO on his forum, daily income rose by over 225%.

For the time being he works a full time job as an ecommerce developer. However, the extra revenue he now earns after installing vBSEO has allowed him to live much more "comfortably". In fact, it pays his two car payments (including a BMW M3; and a Subaru Impreza for the winter months), and half of the monthly mortgage payment on his condo.

With four more forums under development, Brian anticipates that he may be retiring from "working for the man", long before he reaches his 30th birthday.

But, what is Brian's secret? How did he do it?

First of all, Brian had been working for 3 years to build a successful forum using IPB software. With $15 to $25 in AdSense earnings per day, he was doing quite well by many standards. The problem was that IPB was not very well search engine optimized.

While researching some other forums, Brian stumbled across vBSEO. He was dumbfounded by all of the features vBSEO included, but was quickly disappointed to find out it was only available for vBulletin forum software. He then decided to test vBulletin + vBSEO on a new forum he was starting.

Surprisingly, within only a few weeks, his new forum was fully indexed and search engine traffic became his number one source of new visitors.

Delivering such great results for a small forum with only 10 members and 100+ posts was excellent. But it trapped a new idea in Brian's mind: What would happen if he applied vBSEO to his main forum with over 20,000 members and 50,000 threads?

Weighing the decision of whether to miss out on running an exciting SEO solution, or taking on the task of transfering his forum from IPB to vBulletin, Brian took a leap of faith that would end up delivering results that far exceeded his wildest expectations.

Brian converted his main forum to vBulletin and installed the vBSEO solution. Googlebot soon became an ultra frequent visitor to his forum. After about 5 weeks, he had more than 1,000,000 of his forum pages included in Google, and another quarter of a million in Yahoo and MSN.

By July 2006, his search engine traffic had nearly tripled and his daily AdSense earnings were routinely exceeding $100/day.

But increased Web traffic to a forum is certainly not limited to increased AdSense earnings. Membership will increase along with posting activity (creating more user generated content for the search engines), and the new search engine traffic can be monetized in many ways.

Brian gets about 1,000 new members per month, and his posting activity continues to increase on a regular basis. Tapping into additional money making channels, Brian also sells CPM advertising on his site directly. Greater Web traffic, makes this far more valuable to potential advertisers, adding even further to his forum earnings. He currently has competitive advertisers going head to head on his site in promoting their rival products and services.

It's hard to believe that just two years earlier he was driving a battered Honda Civic and struggling financially to save enough cash to move out of his parent's home. Now Brian drives in style with a BMW M3 and a Subaru Impreza. He lives in his own condo, equipped with a new 1080p home theatre system, and pays cash for remodeling and upgrades to boost its value on the real estate market without taking on the burden of a home equity loan or high interest credit card debt.

Brian modestly credits his $149 licensed copy of vBSEO to making it all possible. In fact, he spends some of his free time working on the plans for a custom home he is designing for himself and plans to build sometime in the near future.

It's easy to understand Brian's enthusiasm for vBSEO:

Not bad for a 26 yr old college drop out, huh? Thanks vBSEO, for helping me live the life that I do.

What is Brian's advice to other forum admins?

Is this income only from vbseo powered forums or non-vbseo forums included as well?

On how many websites vbseo was installed ?

What was growth in income after installing vbseo ? (increase in percentage after installing vbseo)

all 4 of my forums run vbseo.

However, 3 of them are worthless (as far as income goes) and contribute maybe $10 a month combined.

My main site was converted from IPB to vbuleltin/vbseo at the same time and was the result of my increased income.

It's hard to believe stories like this when I've seen very little increase, of any kind - traffic or earnings - on my site.

I'm still kinda waiting for something drastic to happen with google. So far nothing.

The only thing drastic that has happened is increasingly crappy results from Yahoo. (went from about 6k hits a day to 1.5k)

I have yet to be indexed by MSN :(
