Hidden forums and categories => is it a problem?

    Hi,

I'd like to know if it will be a problem for vbseo (and search engines) to find my forums and rank them well, place them well?

All my categories, forums or sub forums are hidden and acc'essible only via a html and css custom header (ex.: when you click on the header's menu button "auto" you are redirected (via the button) to the auto forum.
The permissions for the guests are the same as members, except that they can't create threads. But they can see all forums... after click on the menu to be redirected.

will it be more complicated as if it was not hidden? or is it the same?

    Thx

If your content is not accessible to the search engines, then they cannot rank it nor send you any traffic.

it doesn't really answer my question. No forums or categories appear on forumhome. My content is accessible as far as you click on the menu bouttons of my custom header that redirect to the right forum or category. And navigate on the forum (as much as click on header custom menu buttons) is a permission set on "yes" for everybody (even guests).
What i need to know is if search engines are smart enough and know how to click on custom header menu buttons to access the content, if they see that there is no "forumhome" (there is the navbar etc. but no forum or categories visibles). Because if they can't, vbseo will be useless for me

ıt dowsn't matter to have all forums listed on forumhome. Of course having them listed will be an advantage for you but both with vBSEO and vBSEO Sitemap Generator you can have bots crawl your site perfectly.
