Hello, Considering purchase but have a question

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if VB Seo slows down load times?

I was reading on another forum that unless a site is on a dedicated server that SEO shouldnt be installed as it will cause major slowdowns.

I am on a shared server, and currently have good site speed, I would hate for anything to slow down...

Can I use VBSeo on a shared server, and if so will it cause performance issues, slow loads etc?

I have a problem with my SEO, and are looking at this to fix part of the problem.

Also Does VBSeo conflict with other VB Modifications?

Many thanks,

That is not accurate information. We have customers with forums of sizes (some shared, and some dedicated, etc) who install vBSEO.

While we occasionally do encounter problems they are almost always specific to the customer and their server configuration.

You should be aware that the #1 most visited vBulletin forum in the world successfully with very high traffic (of course).

A general rule of thumb is that IF your forum is already running very slow before you install vBSEO, you may notice a performance problem.

If your forum is running ok, then you should not expect a noticeable difference.

The actual performance varies from forum to forum - but it is very rare for one of our customers to not be able to run vBSEO due to performance.

vBSEO 3.1.0 GOLD has an additional advantage in that some of our long time customers have reported speed improvements.

Thankyou, hopefully we can work out what is wrong, it still isnt working.... no URLs will open...

Nothing will work, site maps doesnt work either,

Support seems to take along time...

Should I post my problem in the forum instead

I didnt think it would be this difficult, the install was very straight forward, yet nothing will work.... and now even google says 404 not found to my sitemap URL...

Hoping for some help....

That's not the case always.
At least it didn't happen with me.

I'm too on a shared server,
but I haven't experienced even any slight slowdown.

Hi everyone, I thought Id follow up on this.... since performance impact is a popular question.

Joe you were right

I have been using VBSeo for 1 month now..... am on shared hosting, and have experienced zero change in performance.
My server load averages before and after the installation of VBSeo are exactly the same......

Glad to hear that Terrie. vBSEO typically does not create any significant performance impact, even with many of the large and active big boards. There are, at times, exceptions to this rule, but these are typically configuration issues that can be resolved with the help of the vBSEO Total Support Team.

I look forward to hearing about your future success with vBSEO.

Same here Im on a really really really small VPS, 7 GB spaces, 128Mb memory, running lighttpd1.5,php5.2.5,mysql5.0.54,webmin,postfix,co urierimap,BIND9,Nagios&NagiosGrapher

+

vbulletin,vbseo

with from 20 to 70 average web connections simultaneously and guess what I still have 50% Memory free, vbseo doesnt use memory at all here and that's very nice
