| Greatly considering
I installed this for another customer of yours. And I like how easy it was to install and love what it does for the forum. I am also a member of dnforum.com which uses it. I have played w/ several free seo scripts for vb (which i know has no comparison for vbseo), but had problems with them working with usernames that had non alphabetical/numerical characters in them where when you click on the users profile it would come up not found. Specially after changing their username to add these characters. I am just wondering if this has ever happened with this script. hope this all makes since. |

For best results, you'll need to include the userid in the Member Profile URL format. Like on mine: http://www.fireblades.org/forums/mem...onqsoft-1.html

members/alex.html for example However, we have implemented a workaround that enables your to keep the names clean (with no user ID). It's an option to include special characters for usernames (available via the config_vbseo.php file) - You'll then have no issues with duplicate member profiles. Another workaround is installing a hack that prevents users from using special characters in their usernames - available at vB.org Or, as Keith mentions, adding the [user-id] to the URL format, is bulletproof.... I like the clean names though
