vBSEO is the *only* full featured, fully supported SEO solution for vBulletin, optimized for long tail SEO with link consensus.

We strongly recommend that you do *not* risk something as vital to the success of your forum as SEO to free hacks that are known to have significant issues and are not fully supported. Unfortunately, we have several customers who made this mistake and later expressed to us how they wished they had started with vBSEO from day one, without wasting all the time & effort & frustration trying out one of the fly by night hacks that pop up from time to time.

It's not that the developers are not good programmers. They generally are talented. It's just that something like vBSEO has taken tens of thousands of man hours by a full team to create over almost 5 years of operations. It simply cannot be done at that level by a single person (even if you ignore support entirely).

There is a big difference between being able to make a URL contain a few keywords and achieving full link consensus (which only vBSEO has).

When you vBSEO enable your forum, you can be sure that you have the absolute best SEO solution available. And just as importantly, you can be sure that if you ever have any type of problem, the vBSEO Total Support Team is going to be here ready to answer your question and help resolve any problem that arises.

Top Solution + Best Support = Maximum Success

We are very pleased that vB4 will include some basic SEO features. We know that now more than ever, this is going to help users awaken to the huge importance of SEO, when they see these new features. The URL rewrites they contain are a great start, but vBSEO is going to remain the premium solution for serious webmasters. While there is little doubt that the Jelsoft team has turned out the definitive forum software in the world today, when it comes to SEO, the vBSEO Team lives and breaths it, fully dedicated to providing the ultimate solution for you.

A huge part of the amazing strength of vBulletin has always been the plugin system, and the community that has been created as a result around it, providing thousands of 3rd party solutions that vB-ers absolutely love! In fact, in a Web 2.0 driven Internet where everyone is starting to become aware of the powerful idea of the Open Web, collaboration, and extension, the Jelsoft team has been ahead of the game for years, opening the doors for leading solutions like vBSEO to arise and help you max out your success. Here is a related discussion you may wish to check out:
    vBulletin 4 Series Development Update

When webmasters choose vBulletin, a big part of their decision is based on what else is available out there. With vB, they know there is very little they can dream up that does not already have a plugin available in places like vbulletin.org.

When webmasters started to dream about vBulletin SEO, vBSEO was there. And the rest it history. vBSEO is arguably the most important and most popular vBulletin solution that exists today. Comparing that against a bunch of free hacks, IMO, is no comparison at all.

We hope that you choose vBSEO. I personally would like to hear about your results in 30/60/90 days if you don't mind sharing the results of your growing success.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

You bought vb for a reason over running free phpbb. it has more features and is better supported and more secure.
vbseo is to vb as tfseo is to phpbb in this case. vbseo is the professional solution

vb4 is going to have 'seo' features. yes. But i put it in quotes for a reason. Frankly, it may end up being worse that current style urls. Do it right, or don't do it at all.
vbseo is right. the others, are half-a$$ed attempts.

I'm a customer for life. It's done wonders for my sites.

SEO friendly URL's are just a tiny fraction of what vBSEO actually accomplishes. Sign up for free access of the vBSEO demo and see all the provided features for yourself - https://www.vbseo.com/demo/

Think of your question in this way - if the free SEO add-ons were really that effective, why would any of us spend money to purchase vBSEO?
