| Get my forum posts/threads listed in google
Hi am thinking of purchasing the software however i have a few questions to ask first. I have just launched a new website The Berkshire Job Forum - Powered by vBulletin which is used as a job board for a UK county; like any new site i am of course wanting to get as high up as possible in the rankings. The content on my site is updating almost every minute as new recruiters add new jobs etc so that makes it hard to try and make an overall stragety to promote the website so this is what i am ideally after: A user posts a job in one of the categories, in the title of the post is the job title and a bit of information, in the body of the post is the full job spec What would be idea is to be able to get software which would automatically take the information from this post and add it to the title, meta tags for that page. getting spidered isnt an isue as the site has a good number of back links. Sorry if this meesaghe isnt clear or sounds confused, am new to vbulletin seo but the long and sort of it is im looking for a way in which i can get high search engine positions for threads/posts on my forum - there wouldnt be too much competition as many of ther job titles will be niched. Would this software help me to active this goal? |

Hi Carl, vBSEO will assist with all elments of SEO for your forum, with improvements in crawling (i.e. spidering), indexing (getting the crawled pages into the search engines), and ranking (making those indexed pages rank better). Our software optimizes on a thread by thread basis, and creates CRUs (Content Relevant URLs) based on the thread title (although configurable to other options). All vBulletin forums should have vBSEO installed. However, your forum may do particularly well since your thread titles are formatted in a specific way that includes relevant keywords. Quick tip: [HOW-TO] Remove "Powered by vBulletin" from Your Page Titles

thanks for the prompt reply (and for the useful remove tip, that was annoying me!!) the one thing im after really is to be able to get my forum into a position where a user enters a search term in google and i appear high up in the listings with one of my related threads; in the same way which sites like Webmaster World and Digital Point seem to. Whilst havent got the history or page ranks of those sites i have a number of high pr links and will not expect terms to have much more than 1m reults at very most, most woudl be in the thousands. so the main issue is would it achieve this for me |

page rank and links have little baron over your SE result positions. Content is king. Vbseo will do this for you, provided you have the content that meets the search criteria |
