    On a gaming site

I just opened a new Call of Duty site (for CoD4, CoDWaW and MW2) doing gameplay video's and tips, hints and walkthroughs and currently just adding content to it, I opened it up on the 30th December so its new.

How would vBSeo benefit a gaming forum like this?

And also i have vBulletin advanced friendly urls, If i change the url structure with vBseo will vBseo redirect the old vB ones to the new ones?

    (this is on vB4 Gold)

    Hello,

A good comparison of vb4 friendly URLs vs vBSEO's SEO features can be seen in our matrix: vBSEO - Feature Comparison vBSEO for vBulletin
vb must be set to standard URLs to direct to vbseo URLs. As you just opened, you likely aren't indexed anyway, so it's best to install vBSEO right away before you get content in there.

Ultimately, content is king. If you don't have any content, vbseo can't help NULL rank for anything. But, when the content is there, it will certainly help get that content to top. If you are willing to make the effort to get the content on the site, vbseo installed on your site will help you get indexed, which turns into traffic, which turns into new members, which add content, and the cycle repeats indefinitely.

So should i change from Advanced urls to standered? To get ready to upgrade to vBseo, Im possibly buying at the end of the month. If i do switch to standered will vBulletin redirect old URL's to the new ones?

Im already filling it with content and creating gaming video's ect so theres no problem there, I tweeted and dugg a couple of those threads as well.

Yes, use Standard URLs and then when you install vBSEO, those URLs will automatically be 301'ed to the vBSEO locations.
I'm not sure if vb will redirect or not. I obviously use vbseo, not vb's native product
