Few questions regarding vBSeo before my purchase

1) I'll be using the most up-to-date vBulletin Software, and they claim in will be SEO enough, for my site, so if I use vBSeo what would be the advantages?

2) Is vBSeo open source? I'm a strong supporter on what I use on my forum.

3) I don't want to have 2 different Admin CPs on my forum, is there like a vBSeo manager in my ACP?

4) Can I convert/upgrade my software if I have vBSeo installed, and will vBSeo effect how my posts are stored in the SQL database?

5) This is my last question, just say if vBSeo went out of business, would my script stop working? I hate scripts dependant on other sites.

6) Can I use Zoints Seo first and then convert to vBSeo?
If 2 is no, I might not buy this software.
If 3 is yes, I am going to be very annoyed

I forgot to mention in my first post. I run a forum that is kind of based on a *touchy* subject (not pornography related, or illegal, but might be considered worse), would that be in the allowance of the ToS of vBSeo?

Let me try responding your questions.

1. Currently most released stable vBulletin version is vBulletin 3.8.4 PL1 and vBSEO 3.3.2 fully supports it. vBulletin 4 is within Release Candidate version and vBSEO 3.5.0 Beta 1 supports vBulletin 4 forum and suite packages. However beta 1 is released yesterday and thats why we currently don't advise to install vBSEO 3.5.0 on production sites. However we are running beta 1 on our beta site live. You can check Forums

2. vBSEO source is visible but source code is protected by Copyright laws. However you can modify vBSEO code according to your needs.

3. In order to allow vBSEO running even when vBulletin is not functioning vBSEO has a different Control Panel however this control panel can be reached within vBulletin Admincp also. vBSEO Control Panel will be updated within vBSEO 3.5.0 Beta 2. You can check updated Control Panel screenshots and a video within vBSEO 3.5 Release Schedule + New CP Preview!

4. You can upgrade vBulletin when vBSEO is installed. vBSEO doesn't effect how vBulletin upgrades are handled. However vBSEO is only compatable with vBulletin. Therefor if you convert your site from vBulletin to another forum solution vBSEO will not function with that software.

5. There is no possiblity for vBSEo running out of business. Thats why it is very hard to comment on this.

6. It is possible to do so , however it is not the advised method as the most important factor within SEO is link consensus. If you first install Zoints and then convert to vBSEO your board will have to face indexing period twice which will hurt your rankings. Thats why i strongly advise you to start with vBSEO instead of Zoints.
