I would really like to purchase vBSEO but I'm finding it hard to justify the price.

Would the links already in googles index still work if they were found in a search result?

If I have added a link in one of my posts to somewhere else on my forum, would that link be converted to the new format automatically? Or would it stay as it is but simply be redirected to the new url?

As it is, my thought about vBSEO are that it changes the links in your forum to be more search engine friendly. Is that the general conception or are there other features to the addon?

Old indexed URLs will be automatically 301 redirected to new SEOed URLs.
It will be rewritten on-the-fly with the new seo-friendly URL.
