Few Questions

Hello there I have a couple questions about he vbseo that I would like to ask.


1. The $27, is it only after first year or every single year.

2. What must be done if I want to buy a used license from a friend?

3. Are licenses on accounts? If so, can I transfer the license to my account from another account?

4. Will I ever need to check back here before upgrading my vBulletin forum. To see if it will work fine with the new update?

5. The like and share buttons are include correct? No additional cost or anything?

6. May I use the license without upgrading if it works on my forum?

7. Will I get support if I don't upgrade the license?

Hello, welcome to vBSEO!

1. $27 is the fee of the Upgrade Service, not the renewal. Yearly renewals are $35. Your license expires after the first year, though it is not mandatory to renew it unless you want to get access to newer vBSEO versions.

2. The deal is up to you, we only transfer licenses on customer request (via ticket). You can of course request a confirmation that the license exists in our database via PM, with any staff members.

3. Yes, they are. The third party needs to request a license transfer via ticket. We don't approve "pull" request, but rather "push" requests.

4. Most of times vBSEO works with no issues with every new maintenance release of vBulletin. So that you likely will not need to check back here unless needed. I recommend you to subscribe yourself to our vBSEO Announcements forum.

5. Yes, that's right. No extra fee is needed.

6. Yes, of course. You get a lifetime vBSEO license

7. You will receive support via forums, but not via ticket. Once you renew your license, you get another year of access to latest builds of vBSEO and full premium/prioritized support via ticket.

So I am getting a little confused for what the upgrade service of $27 is. The renewal is the one you do after one year which is $35 to get access to new vBSEO versions, but what is the upgrade service?

Also if I buy one from a friend which has expired, how do I figure out if that version works on my forum/version of forum.

"Upgrade" service is when we (vbseo staff) perform a version upgrade (say, 3.5 to 3.6) on your server.

So if the ticket has expired, the person can no longer transfer it over? Because you had also said that if it had expired then I don't get support via ticket but via forums

I'm the friend he's looking to purchase this from. I asked how to change my site's URL previously to use on a vB forum I host but was told since my license is expired that I need to pay $35 to do this, now that I no longer need the license at all I'm willing to part with it. I also don't want to take a major hit or loss when selling this license so I'm looking to see if the $35 is definitely a must for transfer so I know how much to charge my friend here for the license in question, as I also want to give him a good deal on it and don't want either party to end up disappointed from this transaction.

There are exceptions. If Anthony (DarkGizmo) wants to transfer his license over to you, he needs to renew it as first step.

Yes, it is mandatory to renew your license prior the transfer.
