Hi,

I heard that with VBSEO I would be able to change one of my links. What I mean is: lets say I have a link myforum/chat.php, would I be able to make this link show up in the browser as myforum/myspecialchat.php and so it still points to the same original location but users will see only the second version link?

Also, I have quite a few links thoughout the forum that i manually inserted into posts to other posts/threads. Will those links still work since the old link location after rewrite will not excist. For example I pasted a link in a post pointing to http://www.myforum/showthread.php?p=113891#post113891 but after the rewrite the new thread will look something like http://www.myforum/thread-info.

BTW, when is the newest 3.3 version coming out? Im not good at upgrading and would just like to get the latest version for a while without making changes. I know the price is $149 but is there a yearly renew price and what is it?

You can use our CRRs (Custom Rewrite Rules) to easily change something like chat.php into anything you want. I would not recommend changing it to another .php file though.

Any previous thread links that you included in posts will automatically be changed to the new versions.

3.3.0 currently is in RC1. We have a couple bugs reported from users. These have to get fixed, and then we'll released RC2. If everything is corrected in RC2, we'll roll out the GOLD version. We don't have an exact timeline for that right now.

The upgrade process is quite easy, but if you prefer to wait until GOLD, that's understandable.
