    Excellent. Two questions:
    1.) Just to be absolutely sure -- it doesn't have to also have the f55 in it? It can be a perfectly clean SEO and human readable/clean URL for each subforum itself? If so, I think I'll hit buy now!
    2.) What is the logic behind this forum here still using http://www.vbseo.com/f55/ for example instead of the title/keyword in the URL for each forum?

    1) Yes -> http://hondaswap.com/swap-articles/

    2) If you change the forum name the forum url doesn't change if you use f55. However you do have the option to use slugs to keep the forum url the same but if you change it completely then the url will no longer be relevant to the info.

    Awesome. Thanks! That's worth it's weight in gold. I was thinking of using vBSEO for a new forum only to start, but based on that alone I think I might have to invest for an existing forum as well (even though it's already got 125,000 posts established that will have to be redirected... wish I would have started with vBSEO from the beginning...)
    However you do have the option to use slugs to keep the forum url the same
    Question - in case I don't get it exactly right, what are "slugs" and how do they work in this context?

    Also there is an option to omit common words like "the" and symbols like "&" that currently appear in forum titles in the vBSEO URL for that forum?

    If you use the format like /swap-articles/ the slugs feature will allow you to change your forum name to Honda Swap Articles from Swap Articles and still keep your /swap-articles/ url. If you don't use slugs then it would change your url to /honda-swap-articles/ when you changed the forum name.

    Yes there is a stop word filter for forums and thread urls.

    Where exactly is the slug feature located (to specify one forum url not exactly based on the forum title)?

    You'll have to manually edit the config_vbseo.php file for that also.

    Example here: http://www.vbseo.com/f2/custom-forum...416/#post57221
