DO I Need Zend or Ion Cube installed on my host server with Gold Version

I am looking to purchase vbSEO. I spoke with Network Solutions my host and they use Apache servers and mod_rewrite is on them.

But they DO NOT have Zend or Ion Cube installed with my hosting package I would have to spend an additional $40 per month.

I thought I read somewhere that I would not need Zend or Ion Cube installed on my host server with the recent Gold version of vbSEO, is this correct?

That is correct. vBSEO no longer requires zend or ioncube to be installed to run.

Also, I tried the demo and there seems to be a lot in the software. How do I know what to change and what to keep as defaults. Is there a online user manual I a can review or download?

vBSEO comes very well optimized out of the box. Sometimes looking at the list of options is a little overwhelming. Really the only things that you should change if you want, is the URL rewrite settings. But that is a set it and forget it. Other then that you can tamper with some settings and see if they help you.

Ok, Dowloaded and made it through step1 but having a problem here
B. License your vBSEO instance:

1. CHMOD 666 the 'vB-root/includes/config_vbseo.php' file.
2. Using your browser, visit: http://www.yoursite.com/vB-root/vbseocp.php.

Please help me understand what to do here.

Install was a disaster. I installed Vbulletin and wordpress on my servers with no problem. Your software stoped my entire forum from woking. I am now reinstalling my forum and hopefully havent lost all my data. IF somone does not give me better install instuction I would like my money back immediately. This was bad and your install instrcuction are terrible.
