Question Difference Between Zend & ionCube

Helo Dear Vbseo team,

Its a long time we know abt vbseo.We are planning to buy vbseo for our site.

While we browsing this site we found there are two version of vbseo.
Zend & Ioncube.And there is also a test script to verify the competibility.
We also run it.We got a result that our host support "ionCube" version.Not the zend version.
Please be informed that our site(vbulletin3.5.4) is hosted on vBulletin SEO Forums - Powered by vBulletin

Now any one can explain us what is actual difference between Zend & ionCube version.

which is the best? if zend is better what we need to install at our webserver?
Here im posting the screenshot of zend & ioncube's info:

in case zend is better.please suggest us.we will take proper steps.

waiting for early reply.

Thanks.
Nneel.

Re: Difference Between Zend & ionCube

It depends on you exactly. There is no perfonmance difference in both of them. I use zend on my board and i am pretty happy. My loads never pass 0.3 . I can also use ioncube version but it was my choice to select which version you want to use.

Which version of vbseo?
In here the only recommandation was made about the vBSEO version vBSEO 2.4.0 is the stable version right now but vBSEO 3.0 RC3 is the recommanded version because it includes many more features and we all use it on our live sites without any problems.

The test script checks if Zend or Ioncube is installed in your server. If it said both of them are OK you have to choose which version you want to go with

Re: Difference Between Zend & ionCube

They are nearly equal. Pick which ever is easier to use for you or already installed on your server.

Re: Difference Between Zend & ionCube

thnx man...real prompt help..

but im really really curious..
can u plz tell me..why the test script says that "zend is no" & "ioncube is yes"
hence both is installed.
Please have look on my php.ini & loading module/order:

Quote:
[Zend]

zend_extension = /usr/local/lib/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.1.so
zend_optimizer.optimization_level=15
zend_extension_manager.optimizer=/usr/local/Zend/Zend-2.6.2/lib/Optimizer-2_6_2
zend_extension_manager.optimizer_ts=/usr/local/Zend/Zend-2.6.2/lib/Optimizer_TS-2_6_2
zend_extension=/usr/local/Zend/Zend-2.6.2/lib/ZendExtensionManager.so
zend_extension_ts=/usr/local/Zend/Zend-2.6.2/lib/ZendExtensionManager_TS.so
im clear that both is equal.but whats the reason that test script says
zend no & ioncube okay?
im not an expert like any of u.if there any suggetion will be higly appriciated.

lokking for ur co-operation.

best regards.
Nneel.

Hello,

sometimes the test script doesn't determine zend installation correctly. As long as you have it displayed in phpinfo (zend optimizer 2.6.2+), the zend version of vBSEO will work for you.

Either one should work fine for you, we have no evidence that one performs better than other.

You can use 2CO option for the purchase:
