Hello,

I'm gonna buy vBSEO in a few days. Here are my questions:

Google has 715.000+ indexed pages from my web site at the moment. After i install vBSEO, will it be possible when somebody clicks a forum link from google search results page to redirect to the correct thread? I've checked your admin panel but i want to be sure about this...

I put Google Analytics code in header template and archive's index.php. Should i remove these manually added codes after vBSEO? If so, will it also track the archive section? I don't even want to miss a single unique hit...

It's really a great hack. I only have 1.300 threads, 27.600 posts and 80.000+ members but google has 715.000+ indexed pages from my web site as i stated before. This hack has support for vBSEO but currently it's off at the moment as i don't have vBSEO yet. Should i switch to your hack when i have vBSEO? Does it support external urls? I've semi-static web pages connected to the forum database and they are the most important part of the web site.

It seems easy to add custom replacements for the non-english characters. Does it always work?

For example this is the thread title: "AKO - Venüs Zevkleri, Şimdi İndirin, Beğeneceksiniz!"
The url i want it to be:
http://www.msxlabs.com/forum/ako-ven...eceksiniz.html

The url that will make me sick:
http://www.msxlabs.com/forum/ako%20ven#%s... vs

Google Adsense... The codes are in the navbar template as the web site has an unsual design with lots of flash and gif files... everypage should have adsense banners... otherwise it won't help me to earn much enough...

There is "301 Redirect Original Content" option in vbseocp that allows to redirect original vB URLs to corresponding new ones.

If you decide to use vBSEO's "Google Analytics tracking" feature, you should remove your existing header includes to avoid duplicate definitions. The code will be included both on main forum pages and archive (all pages that are processed by vBSEO).

Excellent results you have ! (I suppose you have many non-forum pages at your site taking into account the serps number)
Yes, you can use vBSEO Sitemap Generator after installing vBSEO (it also supports "extra URLs definition" to include non-forum pages in sitemap).

Yes, it is possible to define custom characters replacements in vBSEO config to get URLs as you specified.

The "Enable Adsense Section Targeting" option is for properly placing the "adsense targeting tags" like  (more info), so you still include your adsense code in templates in the same way as before. (let me know if I misinterpreted your question

P.S. I've APC Cache installed and running. Should i know anything about APC & vBSEO?
One more thing, i'm stuck at PHP v4.4.0... i can't upgrade to 4.4.2 though i can see it via cpanel. Tried to decompile many times but no success...

We are currently APC 3.0.8 and PHP 4.4.2 but I don't think you'll have issues with 4.4.0 as we were using it not long ago.

Yes, since you have APC, ionCube is the version you should install.

Installed successfully.

I'm not sure if this is reported to you before but the custom characters replacaments are deleted when you save your settings.

I fixed this by re-downloading config_vbseo.php file after i finished setting it then added my custom c. r. and re-uploaded it.

You should add this function to the cp... editing php file has this bug.

P.S. I'm sleepy at the moment.. maybe there is already a section for this setting but i couldn't find it.

Hi,

your character replacement settings should not be rewritten unless you entered them in the fresh uploaded file. The following "scheme" should work correctly:
1. uploaded new config_vbseo.php from vBSEO zip package to the server
2. opened vbseocp.php, defined the password (your previous options saved in database are restored at this point)
3. you can define character replacements now by manually editing config_vbseo.php file

I had an ASP forum before so i used static html pages to redirect the old asp files to the correct non-vbulletin pages (with meta refresh tag). Now i want to delete these pages and use the rewrite rules... Can you help me on this one?

I couldn't use members/[user_name].html url format because of the replacements... For example there are two members, didos & didoş...
I used members/[user_id]-[user_name].html instead... Should i keep this setting?
