Couple questions from a large forum owner

    Hey there guys,

Couple questions. I own UltimateMetal.com - Supporting The Metal Underground. Forums, Discussion, Interviews, Reviews and am thinking of getting your product.

Given my forum is as big as it is (Threads: 194,201, Posts: 4,114,106, Members: 64,171) what kind of hurdles will I be looking at by installing your product? (any and all you may think of including long time to convert links or however the product works).

Any idea when 3.0.0 will be official and should I wait until such time before buying with the size of my forum?

When new versions of VB come out, what (if anything) is involved on the VBSEO side of things?

    Thanks!

(EDIT: I will be upgrading to 3.6.2 within the week FYI)

    Hi Deron ,

vBSEO 3.0.0 can be out any day because currently there is a competition to find the first bug in 3.0.0 Rc6. Also vBSEO 3.0.0 Rc6 is pretty stable and upgrading vBSEO takes only 3-4 minutes max.

Currently your site has 160.000 pages indexed at google. If you buy and install vBSEO all your old url's will be 301 redirected your new urls. Reindexing of your site will start the next day you install vBSEO. If you also install vBSEO Yahoo/Google Sitemap your site can be indexed pretty fast. In Max 2 month your site will be totally indexed from scratch.

vBSEO had no known issues with vb3.6.x when it came out and if there will be new version vBSEO will probably work with it. If there wişll be any reported problems i am sure vBSEO Staff will take care of it immediately.

I liked your site Deron , pretty nice organized but you may need a little help on forumhome. Your tables look broken. If you need help for that just drop me a PM , i'll be glad to help with it since i am big metal listener also

    Take Care ,

    Mert

Thanks Lizard! I'll check that table issue...I've been hacking around a lot lately on the forum main so I probably forgot a closingtag or something.

One last question: So, when I install VBSeo, it doesn't require time to parse/change the names of my links/threads and/or require to have my board offline to do its magic?

Also, I have a script where people can include the top ten threads from their specific forum (not the stock VB one), you can see it in action here: Evergrey.net - The Official Home of Evergrey - as you can see they link to the normal stock VB thread names, how will VBSeo affect that?

    Oh, and, METAL!

    Re: Parsing URLs

This is not required. All URLs are converted from dynamic to static in real time. Your installation will take from 3 to 5 minutes to upload all files.

    Re: Top 10 Threads

This should not be an issue. As long as the URLs are in the stock format they should be handled. If you run into any trouble after installation, please open a support ticket and the vBSEO Total Support Team will assist you with troubleshooting.

When you install vBSEO you will only need couple minutes to make your settings. After that you don't need to keep your board offline. One advise when you install vBSEO check the settings and make sure you make every settings as you want because changing Url settings is not recommended at all after a while.

For the script how do they enter the urls ? Is it automatically retrieved by Rss or added manually ?
