| Couple of questions
Apologies if both these questions have been asked and answered previously. I actually already purchased vbSEO but have yet to install. I just want to get clarification - if I find that vbSEO is not for me, can I uninstall the entire thing and my forum will revert to as it was (including url naming scheme etc)? Also, I'm moderately concerned about extra load vbSEO will put on my server. At its busiest my site can have upwards of 1500 simultaneous users and my server struggles to cope (primarily due to database read/write limitations). I'm currently trying to address the issue with hardware upgrades. However, with vbSEO can I expect to see a noticeable increase in server load, and if so in relation to what exactly - web server, database? Both? Thanks in advance. |

1. Removing vbseo will revert everything back to original. 2. As your server is already stressed,I'd say you might notice a little increase in load. |

| Underpowered server = trouble.
Hey, if your site is really worth anything to you, I think it would be wise to upgrade the hardware to something that can handle your peak visitor volume. It sounds like you are near the limit of your current setup. Make sure you take care of the important things first. You are already getting decent traffic, so instead of SEO, I think it is more critical for you to have a stable hardware setup. Once that is in place, add vbseo, otherwise you are in for trouble either way. If vbseo doesn't max out your current setup with the added cpu overhead of the script itself (which is a non-factor on a server that is not underpowered), the new traffic you get from using it most certainly will max out the system. Now, I am not sure of how much revenue your site is generating at the moment, nor what your current hardware costs are, but regardless of those variables, make sure your hardware can handle your peak traffic loads with room to spare.

Michael is correct. If your server is already over-taxed, you definitely need to upgrade. Even without vBSEO this is a necessary step. On a positive note, congratulations on building such an active forum. Once you're upgraded, with vBSEO installed, I"m sure you're going to continue to do extremely well.
