Hello, we are a new marijuana reform and information community. While we are still getting settled in the web (adding/deleting scripts, fixing tiny bugs, ect) I stumbled upon this site.

I have been paying a company.. Blast Engine - Submit your website to over 1,000,000 search engines and directories to place us on search engines under keywords such as marijuana, weed, marijuana reform, yada yada.

I have seen very little result and am not very happy with the service. I was thinking of using:

Top 10 search engine ranking, AOL Lycos Google ranking placements this service to gain our rankings. We don't need to be number 1 or even number 3 on the search engines but being in the top 10 to 30 would be nice.

Will this software help with that? Do you believe the "servicewrap.net" service is a scam or helpful? This is a very tricky art, this SEO. I can't tell what is a scam and what will actually work, heh.

Oops, after posting this.. the site seems to have put advertisements in my post... This was not intentional FYI.

Are you saying that if I install this advertisements will be placed into posts as what just happened in my 1st post? Can that option be turned off?

Those aren't advertisements, vBSEO grabs the page title of links that are posted (optionally). It helps put more keywords on your pages.

That sounds fair enough. I understand that it is controversial and we are working with political organizations such as Marijuana Policy Project - Home to reduce mis-information. As for my original questions: In your professional opinion do you think sites such as Google search engine ranking website promotion, Yahoo top 10 website ranking are scams or actually helpful? Will this software boost our ranking a bit? (If approved.)

IMO, "seo specialists" are nothing more than a waste of money.

If you run a vBulletin forum, this is the software you want. I'm sure it will be way cheaper too.

Marijuana is iffy... while it is illegal most places, it is legal in medicinal purposes in California, and Colorado recently got lax on it (illegal to sell, but legal to have/smoke or something like that). Again, the management team will have the final word on that.

IMO, I would think so long as its promoting legal use, discussing the "drug" in a legal manner, and not pushing for smoking, selling bongs, and talking about last night's clam back session, I would imagine it would be ok. But what do i know... lol

Is there any negative effects from using this software?

I didn't like that option which changed the text at all, nor would the community like it. =/

Will this interfere with phpadsnew at all?

Could you list some demo forums this is being used on?
