concerning vba cmps

hello,
i have a pre-sales question:
i have vba cmps installed and want to know, if those urls in the latest thread box will be also be seo optimised
or if vbseo generally supports the vba cmps


and currently i have dc seo installed. what happens if i "upgrade" to vbseo? will those dc seo catched urls be lost and no more accessible for google?

welcome to the board.

vBSEO will rewrite all vB URLs on the vba pages (including the latest threads block) and using Custom Rewrite Rules you can even rewrite own URLs of vba pages.

For the smooth upgrade you can either:

1. Customize vBSEO URLs in vbseocp to the similar format you have now (in this case your current URLs will be working with no changes).

2. Define any other URL formats you like and add few more lines to .htaccess to allow your old urls be safely redirected to new vBSEO URLs.

another small question:
i have vbseo sitemap running. do i need to reimport the product after installing vbseo (so that vbseo is being integrated into the vbseo sitemap)?

For Sitemap, just change the option to use vBSEO URLs (first option on the Sitemap AdminCP screen) after you have installed vBSEO. You don't need to reinstall it.
