    Buying VBSEO and Support Afterwards

    Good Day,

My name is Andrew. Thinking of buying VBSEO for my forum.

Forum version: vBulletin 4.2 (just upgraded)
    Forum Age: 2 months
    Domain Age: 2 months

Thought I should provide these details so that you have a better understanding about my forum. We are a group of experienced (marketers) folks managing this forum. We are very serious about our business and wish to take the forum a long-long way. Me and my fellow associates are experienced with creating quality content/discussions. So far, there are just 10 members on the forum.

    Now the questions:

We all know that websites do take some time before they gain ranks on SERPs and 2 months is too less to begin dreaming of organic traffic. However, we've noticed a little traffic from search engines already. So my main questions are:

What will be the impact of installing VBSEO on the forum "at this point of time"?
Will we see some gain in the traffic?

I'm asking these questions because me and my associates are new to vBulletin. And it is the first time we are managing a forum. We know how and when the websites rank but not sure about forums.

My other questions are related to the changes that will happen in the forum after installing VBSEO. Although I have not customized the forum too much but will there be changes in the URLs or other elements of the forum after installing VBSEO?

Some more questions, would appreciate if someone can answer in detail:

Is installing VBSEO easy or tough? Or is it as easy as installing a plugin?
Will there be any impact on the SERVER after installing VBSEO?

I have a VPN hosting account and have like 10 Wordpress blogs on my hosting account (and now a forum too). I do get emails occasionally (once in six months) from my hosting company complaining that my account has crashed the server. To solve that problem I used WP Super Cache plugin on all of the blogs. Since then, no problems. So I wish to know if installing VBSEO will cause some load on the server. Will I need to use some sort of cache system in order to reduce the server load caused by VBSEO?

What type of "free support" do you provide to your VBSEO customers?

That's all champs. Please answer these questions at your earliest convenience and I will be ready to swipe my card.

    Best wishes,
    Andy.

    Hi Andy,

Welcome to vBSEO.com, I will try to answer your questions.

What will be the impact of installing VBSEO on the forum "at this point of time"?
Will we see some gain in the traffic?
That is the idea. vBSEO (with the vBSEO Google/Bing Sitemap Generator) will increase your Forum's crawlability.

My other questions are related to the changes that will happen in the forum after installing VBSEO. Although I have not customized the forum too much but will there be changes in the URLs or other elements of the forum after installing VBSEO?
Yes, the URL structure will change (to whatever you define) but traffic to the old URL will be 301 redirected.

Is installing VBSEO easy or tough? Or is it as easy as installing a plugin?
Easy. Upload files, install Product, tweak settings. vBSEO has its own Control Panel that can be accessed directly or through the AdminCP.

Will there be any impact on the SERVER after installing VBSEO?
Yes, all requests will be processed through vbseo.php and there will be some additional load. This is generally only a problem for already overloaded servers. I run 9 vBSEO-powered instances (couple of them are test sites) on my box and rarely see the load go over 1.

Do you mean a VPS? vBSEO does have the ability to use memcached or xCache.

What type of "free support" do you provide to your VBSEO customers?
Access to the Ticket System, and software updates are provided for a year, renewal is required to continue that. Forum/Community support is available to all customers, current or expired.
