    Branding Free Option

    Hi there,

I am in the middle of creating a new vbulletin forum and i am looking to buy a product to improve the SEO, however i am not allowed to have links back to any other sites in terms to the products used on the forum, hense why i brought the branding free vbulletin option.

Is this something VBSEO offers, or am i forced to link back or have some text reffering to VBSEO, in which case i will have to look else where :(

    James

    Hi James,

A branding removal option is planned for the future, but is not available at this time.

There are plans to offer a branding free version in the future, but there is no ETA. You can, however, choose a non-linked version of the copyright that is shown in the footer.

More info here: vBSEO Copyright Link

Thanks for the quick reply guys. Ive been looking around and this does seem to be the best SEO option for VB, but how long do you think i would have to wait for this option, days, weeks or months?

Could you also tell me more about the nonlinked version, i dont have permission to see the linked page.

Its not that i dont want to link back to you guys, but the owner isnt allowed to link to any other products on the site, i think its to do with the advertising deal he has going.

Unlinked version maintains the copyright, but removes the link. It's done using a change in our configuration file.

No ETA on branding removal option at this time.

Sorry, try this link: What is the Branding Exactly?

You can also turn off the Version display, which will shorten it a little more.

Ok, thanks for that. Looks like i could get away with a shorter copyright if its linked. Last question, would i be allowed to have the seo copyright text on an image in my footer that is linked to www.vbseo.com?

    Wow...

I didn't realize that the branding was burned into every copy of vbseo. No offense guys but after paying $160 for each vbulletin forum, I wasn't expecting to pay $150 so our professional forums could function as an advertisement.

At an additional price, no doubt. This leaves me not considering vbseo for our forums at any time in the future unfortunately.

One vbseo license would be equivalent to several copies of vbulletin itself. Yes, we've heard that it's not worth running vbulletin without it everywhere although some of the most popular forums don't use it and have great traffic. Keep that in mind guys. It reminds me of my mobile phone company. They kept telling us their service was worth getting financially raped until I switched... and realized I never really needed it in the first place.
